Ava is currently a Business Administration major at Furman University, specializing in marketing. Her passion for creative digital media emerged during her sophomore year while searching for a summer internship in her hometown of Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was drawn to opportunities that focused on uniting and uplifting communities, which ultimately led her to an internship in creative services for collegiate athletics. A lifelong fan of sports, Ava found it incredibly rewarding to contribute to the energy and excitement that athletics brings to fans and communities. This experience confirmed Ava’s passion for a career in the dynamic world of sports media and marketing, while also sparking a curiosity about how she could make an impact in the broader digital marketing space. Discovering Bodhi & Co felt like the perfect next step—offering her the opportunity to grow both personally and professionally in a new environment outside of athletics, while continuing to explore her creative potential.
What do you love to do in your spare time?
Tennis has always been a big part of my life and one of my greatest passions. I started playing when I was around five years old, inspired by my mom, a former Division I college player and coach for over 20 years now. By the time I was 11, I began competing seriously, and by my junior year of high school, I was being recruited by college programs. Tennis has always been more than just a sport to me—it’s my first love and a personal escape, offering both challenge and comfort in every stage of life.
If you were a pasta shape, what shape would you be?
I think pasta in every way shape and form is perfect (besides penne, sorry penne lovers). However, if I had to choose, I would probably be some type of Fussili shape. It is completely versatile and is able to get every flavor down its spiral.
What’s your go to spotify playlist, or artist?
My go-to Spotify playlist is packed with hits from the 2000s and 2010s—arguably at least top 5 best eras of music. There's something about those tracks that makes me feel like the main character in a movie. It's the perfect blend of nostalgia and feel-good energy—music that brings back memories and still makes you want to dance.
