New research: The 2026 AI Visibility Report

AI for law firms · Greenville & Upstate SC

AI for law firms in Greenville, SC.

Bodhi & Co builds AI agents for law firms in Greenville and the Upstate: intake that gathers the facts and schedules out of hours, document and deadline chasing, and the AI search work aimed at getting your firm named when someone asks an AI assistant for a lawyer. In our 2026 tests, 8 of the 18 firms we tested (44%) were never cited in any AI answer.

Every agent we build for a firm drafts for a person to approve. Nothing leaves the office unreviewed.

AI integration for law firms

  1. Intake that gathers the facts and books

A potential client emails or calls after hours. The agent asks the questions you set for your practice area, checks names against a conflicts list you control, and books the consultation — with the summary in your inbox before you sit down.

  2. Document and deadline chasing

Unsigned engagement letters, missing discovery, court dates and filing deadlines: the agent watches the matter, drafts the reminder, and escalates to a person when it matters.

  3. First drafts from your own precedents

Engagement letters, standard correspondence and status updates drafted from your templates and the matter file, in your voice, for attorney review.

How law firms get recommended by AI

We cannot see inside the engines. What our tests show is where their answers came from: third-party platforms far more often than a business’s own website, which made up 5% of the citations we logged across all industries. For law firms we would expect those platforms to be Google Business Profile, Avvo, Justia and the SC Bar directory. We have not yet logged sources for enough firms to confirm it. These are our recommendations:

  • Complete profiles on Google Business Profile, Avvo, Justia and the SC Bar directory, consistent with your site.
  • Attorney pages with names, credentials, admissions and photos, marked up with structured data.
  • Practice-area pages that answer the questions people ask in plain English: what happens after a car accident in South Carolina, how long probate takes in Greenville County.
  • Reviews, and a steady presence in local press and community organizations.

That is the work of an AI search optimization engagement, and it starts with the free check: an instant read of your website, then buyer questions put to the four engines to show you who they name today.

Questions, answered.

FAQ

Is it safe to use AI with client information?

It can be, with the right design: least-privilege access, a person approving anything that leaves the firm, a record of every action, and AI providers with business terms that do not train on your data. We walk you through exactly which systems see which information before anything is built.

Can an AI agent give legal advice?

No, and ours are built not to. Intake agents gather facts and schedule; drafting agents prepare documents for an attorney to review. The judgement stays with the lawyer.

Which practice areas would you start with?

Practices with a high volume of new enquiries: personal injury, family, criminal defense and estate planning. Enquiries there often arrive out of hours, and that is the work an intake agent takes on.

What does it cost?

A fixed-price pilot for one workflow, quoted after a free call, or a retainer from 10 hours a month with no annual contract. See how we price AI consulting.
