Bodhi and Co., LLC (“Bodhi & Co”, “we”, “us”) is an AI and social media agency based in West Greenville, Upstate South Carolina, working with clients across South Carolina and nationwide. We do AI consulting, agents and automations, AI search visibility (SEO, AEO and GEO), and social media management — organic and paid.
This policy covers wearebodhiandco.com (the “Site”) and the ways you can reach us through it. Work we do for clients under a signed agreement is covered by that agreement.
2. What we collect
We only collect information you hand us or that a website naturally produces. Here’s the full list.
When you get in touch or ask for the free AI visibility check
Your name, email address, company, website domain, and a note about what you need. If you call or email us directly, we keep that correspondence.
When you use the “Ask us anything” assistant
The questions you type. If you show interest in working together, the assistant may ask for your name, email, company and what you’re interested in, and send those to our team by email so a real person can follow up. It only passes on what you actually give it. More in section 4.
When you run the instant check
The website address you type, and nothing else. We don’t ask for your name or email, and we don’t store the address or the results. More in section 5.
When we run the full AI visibility check
We look at your public website and ask third-party AI and search services questions about your business category. We don’t collect anything private, logged-in or paywalled. More in section 5.
Automatically, from our hosting provider
This Site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, it keeps standard server logs: IP address, browser type, the pages requested and when. Our hosting provider keeps these for security and to keep the Site running. We don’t use them to build profiles of visitors.
3. How we use it
To answer you when you reach out.
To run the free AI visibility check and send you the results.
To follow up about work you’ve asked about, and occasionally to tell you about things we think you’d want to know. You can opt out of that any time (section 8).
To keep the Site secure and working.
To meet legal obligations, like keeping business records.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for advertising.
4. The AI assistant
The “Ask us anything” button on this Site opens an assistant that answers from a fixed fact sheet about Bodhi & Co. A few things you should know:
Its answers are AI-generated (by Anthropic’s Claude) and can be wrong. Treat them as a friendly starting point, not a promise. Nothing it says is professional, legal, financial or technical advice.
Humans review leads. If you share contact details, a person on our team reads them and decides how to follow up. No one gets an automated sales sequence from the assistant.
Please don’t share sensitive personal information with it — things like health details, government ID numbers, financial account numbers, or anything about other people. It doesn’t need them, and we’d rather not hold them.
Your questions are sent to the AI provider (Anthropic) to generate a reply. We don’t keep a copy of the conversation: it lives in your browser tab and is gone when you close it.
If you open the assistant from your instant check results, those results go with your questions, so that it can explain them. Nothing else about your visit does.
Only the contact details you volunteer are passed on, by email, to our team.
5. The free AI visibility check
The check has two parts.
The instant check
This runs on the Site. You type a website address. Our server reads that website’s homepage and three small public files (robots.txt, sitemap.xml and llms.txt), works out twelve pass-or-fail results and sends them back to your browser.
No AI service is involved, and nothing is sent to one.
We don’t store the address, the results, or who asked.
To limit abuse, the server counts requests from each IP address for a few minutes. The count is held in memory and is never written down.
When our server visits a website it says who it is: BodhiCheck. It stays out of any website whose robots.txt tells BodhiCheck to stay out.
The full check
A person runs this when you ask for it. We crawl your public website and may query third-party AI and search services — for example Perplexity, OpenAI and Google — with the kinds of questions your customers ask about your business category. Those services receive the questions we ask (which may name your category, your area, or your business), and they handle that data under their own privacy policies.
We may email you the results. The results are point-in-time observations of systems that change constantly; see our Terms for what that means.
By asking for the full check, you’re confirming the website you give us is yours, or that you’re allowed to have it checked.
6. Who we share it with
Only the people and providers needed to do the things above:
Service providers — Vercel (which hosts this Site), Anthropic (which powers the on-site assistant), the email and record-keeping services we use to receive your details and reply to you, and the third-party AI and search services we query during a full check. Each gets only what it needs to do its job.
The law — if we’re legally required to, or to protect the rights, safety or property of Bodhi & Co, our clients or others.
A change of ownership — if Bodhi & Co is ever sold or merged, your information would go with it, under this policy or one at least as protective.
With your say-so — for anything else, we’ll ask first.
7. Cookies and tracking
This Site sets no cookies. It runs no analytics, no advertising pixels, and no third-party trackers. That’s why there’s no cookie banner — there’s nothing to consent to.
It keeps nothing in your browser’s storage either. The typeface, the pictures and the scripts are served from our own Site, so loading a page asks no other company for anything.
One exception: the blog posts and case studies from our old site are kept at their old addresses in their old design. Those pages load their typeface from Adobe Fonts, and a post with a video embeds it from YouTube or Vimeo. They carry no analytics or advertising tags either.
If we ever add analytics or advertising tags, a consent notice will appear before any of it loads, and we’ll update this policy with a new “Last updated” date.
8. Email and marketing
We’ll email you when you ask us to (replies, check results, project stuff). We may occasionally send outreach or updates we think are relevant to your business.
Every outreach email from us includes a postal contact address and a working way to opt out. If you unsubscribe, we honor it within 10 business days, as the CAN-SPAM Act requires, and usually much faster. You can also just reply “stop” or email hello@wearebodhiandco.com.
9. Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
Access — tell you what personal information we hold about you and send you a copy.
Correct — fix anything that’s wrong.
Delete — remove your information, unless we need to keep some of it for legal or accounting reasons (we’ll tell you if so).
Opt out of marketing — stop any marketing email on request.
Do not sell or share my personal information
Consider it done. Bodhi & Co does not sell personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there’s nothing to opt out of. If that ever changes, this page and a clear opt-out will change first.
California residents: you have the rights to know, access, correct and delete your personal information, to opt out of sale or sharing, and not to be treated differently for exercising those rights, under the CCPA/CPRA. We honor all of them.
Everyone else: South Carolina doesn’t currently have a comprehensive consumer privacy statute, and your state may or may not. We don’t think that should matter — we honor the same rights for everyone.
To make a request, email hello@wearebodhiandco.com from the address we have on file (or tell us enough to verify it’s you). We’ll respond within 30 days. You can have someone act on your behalf if they can show you authorized them.
10. How long we keep it
As long as we need it to do what you asked, keep in touch about it, and meet our legal and accounting obligations — and no longer. Leads we never end up working with get cleaned out periodically. Ask us to delete your information at any time and we will, subject to those obligations.
11. Security
The Site is served over HTTPS, the mailbox and records your details arrive in sit behind access controls, and only the team members who need to see your details can. No system is perfectly secure, so we can’t promise absolute security — but we take reasonable care, and if something goes wrong that affects you, we’ll tell you.
We’re a United States company and your information is handled in the United States.
12. Children
This Site and our services are for businesses and the adults who run them. They aren’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you think a child has given us information, email us and we’ll delete it.
13. Other sites
We link to other websites — client work, social profiles, tools we like. Their privacy practices are their own. This policy only covers what we collect through our Site.
14. Changes to this policy
When we change this policy we’ll post the new version here with a new “Last updated” date. If a change is significant — like adding analytics, or a new way we use your information — we’ll make it obvious on the Site or email people it affects.
